| The works involved the demolition
of a water supply tower belonging to the municipality
of Mariano Comense (CO).
The reinforced concrete structure was demolished using a cutting
disc, by slinging the structural elements and lowering
them to ground level using a mobile crane.
The entire structure was then broken up using an excavator
equipped with hydraulic grabbers. The working methods used
ensured maximum safety and minimum disruption
to the local residents. The crushing operation on the ground
reduced the risks involved in the demolition of such a deteriorated
structure.
