| The demolition of the ex Mestre-Bazzera
motorway tollgate was carried out in just one night, in complete
safety and with only minor disruption to road traffic.
The works involved the total demolition of the above-ground
structures in reinforced concrete and pre-stressed reinforced
concrete, with dismantling of roof beams and their eventual
demolition once transferred to the side of the motorway.
The demolition work was carried out by slinging and lifting
the beams using two 50 ton mobile cranes.
OPERATIONAL PHASES:
• Positioning of n° 2 mobile cranes
• Slinging and lifting of beams using suitable stiffening
and tensioning equipment
• Cutting of columns using excavators equipped with
hydraulic grabber
• Placing beams at ground level
• Disc cutting of beams into two halves
• Moving the beam parts to a storage area
• Crushing of demolished materials
