In today’s developed world where the availability of virgin ground for building purposes is becoming increasingly rare,
new building is often associated with the need to demolish
property that no longer has any architectural features worth preserving and which is destined to fall into an advanced state of abandon due to obsolescence.
The phenomenon quite often occurs within the heart of a city, where the need arises to restore functionality and a give new look
to a highly degraded zone, or to make entire quarters dominated by the presence of derelict factories liveable and attractive.
This sector of activities is extremely delicate
and can only be entered by those possessing the highest qualifications in engineering and structural mechanics.
In particular, working in the sector requires avant-garde machinery and high profile professional figures
capable of facing all the risks linked to such an inherently traumatic operation in complete safety.
The
importance of safety
Vitali has a special safety
management system that constantly
monitors and evaluates all possible dangers.
Risk analysis, detailed operational procedures
and continuous personnel training
allow entire projects to be planned and
executed in complete safety.
All the necessary preventive and
protective measures are adopted
throughout each phase of the demolition.
INTRODUCING
A LEADER
Demolition centre
The Vitali group possesses the highest qualifications
in terms of its engineering, organisational
and managerial skills. Our technical
designers are at the service of public
and private clients to plan any
demolition works, as well as provide information,
opinions, suggestions, take part in the
preparation of specifications and draw up
quality and safety procedures.
Trust in technology and equipment:
Vitali S.p.A. makes use of its specific
know-how to constantly monitor
the progress being made in demolition tecnology
and methods. The company’s attention
and interest in the development of equipment
also signifies that its fleet of over 300
mobile units is always updated
and fully operational. The availability
of efficient and up-to-date equipment allows
the company to work in complete safety and
at the same time allows the work to progress
in the most efficient and rapid
manner.
Value linked to organisation: the
efficiency of the company organisation means
reliability and the certainty
that objectives will be reached within the
agreed times, while at the same time guaranteeing
quality, rapidity and safety.
The company has its own specialised technicians
who undergo continuous training and retraining,
and as such can be ready to work on any
sites at short notice. Organisational punctuality,
working capacity and clarity of intent are
the strong points of a team of 150 technicians
and professionals.
Through the use of specific
waste material processing plants,
Vitali S.p.A. can fully recover
waste demolition material and transform it
into new raw materials for
re-use in the building sector. This operation
is particular advantageous from the
economic and environmental points of view,
in that it reduces the need to excavate natural
raw materials and avoids the need to transport
the demolition material to authorised dumps.
Explosive Demolition district Capendeguy 2008 - Béziers FRANCE
Vitali used explosives to demolish 500 lodgings in the district of Capendeguy (Béziers – France). A difficult intervention because of buildings located in the city centre, with problems related to the presence of residential and historical buildings. The explosive charges were precisely placed to achieve a successful implosion. The result: a spectacular event, where experience and high technology have done the difference. SOME NUMBERS: 492 lodgings demolished, 500 people evacuated, 2.000 meters barrier, 11 seconds of demolition, 450 Kgs explosive, 2.800 meters detonators, 32.000 meters electric thread, 65.000 tons of deposits, 60 firemen, 6 months preparation.
