The project is for the construction of a new road-rail interchange station in the municipality of Arcene.

The works include the construction of a large car park, a roundabout and a stretch of main road with a cycle-pedestrian underpass.

The site is located to the west of Arcene and stands between the new stretch of new road leading to the town, ex. S.S. 42 (now a provincial road) and the new railway line. The layout of the project is dictated by two fundamental features: the stretch of Provincial road on the eastern boundary of the car park and the cycleway-footpath link with Via Papa Giovanni XXIII which forms the northern boundary of the site.

The roads running perpendicular to the provincial road dictated the basic layout of the car park, with flower beds and trees and regular divisions every 18 metres made up as follows: parking area, two-way road, parking area, flower beds.
