NEW BYPASS VIA TRE FONTANE - CISANO                                                                          

The new bypass was completed in December 2005 and eases the flow of traffic, above all for heavy vehicles which now do not need to pass through the town centre in order to reach the two outlying villages.

An important step ahead for the viability of Cisano Bergamasco, the main hub of the main Lecco – Bergamo and Milano links. The ribbon was cut in the presence of the Mayor of Cisano Bergamasco, the councillor for Public Works, other members of the town council and the President of the Province of Bergamo.

Work is currently underway on the 3rd and final phase of the Tre Fontane road improvement project for Cisano Bergamasco, the first phases of which were, as already stated, completed in 2005. The 3rd phase includes the construction of a roundabout on Via Milano (ex s.s 342). All three phases of the project will partly solve the problem of heavy vehicles transiting in the direction of Lecco. The extended roundabout has two lanes in each direction.
